Savanna grassland animals list. Some animals that live in tropical grassland are lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, zebras, giraffes, elephants and rhinoceroses. And then, of course, there is a prediction by herbivores. The african savanna rolls across much of central and southeastern africa.

The savanna is characterized by grasses and small or dispersed trees that do not form a closed canopy, allowing sunlight to reach the ground. The savanna biome is also home to carnivores, which thrive due to the abundance of herbivores. It is distinguished by it’s long, narrow neck and red, white fur.
